Dr. Adam Schanding

Adam Schanding, D.V.M.

Dr. Adam Schanding earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Miami University prior to graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2008.  He has been proudly caring for animals of the western Chicago suburbs since moving to the state of Illinois in 2009.  He enjoys all aspects of general practice but has found a special interest in surgery, dentistry, and emergency care. 

 Dr.Schanding and his wife Amanda reside in Lombard, IL with their Labrador, Dillon and their two cats, Hops and Rupert.  Dr. Schanding enjoys running, spending quality time with friends and family, brewing and tasting craft beer, and cheering for his beloved Cincinnati Bengals.

Kirsten Magnuson, D.V.M.

Kirsten Magnuson, D.V.M.

Dr. Kirsten Magnuson completed her undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2008 from Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN. She then went on to obtain her veterinary degree and graduated in 2012 from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association. Her special interests include cardiology, internal medicine and exotic husbandry and care.

Dr. Magnuson was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and upon graduation she returned to the area. Dr. Magnuson and her husband Tim currently reside in Batavia, IL with their three dogs, Sydney, Ginnie and Roo, and their two cats, Fiona and Phillio. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking, cooking, trying out new restaurants, and traveling. You can often spot her out on the Illinois Prairie Trail or eating at a local restaurant in the Fox Valley area.

James Weidner, D.V.M.

Dr. James Weidner earned his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois. He also completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Illinois following his graduation from veterinary school. His professional interests include internal medicine, general soft tissue surgery and orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Weidner was born and grew up in a northwest suburb of Chicago and now lives in Wheaton, IL. Outside of work, Dr. Weidner enjoys spending time his wife, three children and their pets, Riesling and ETDA Mae (cats) and Beckett (a cockapoo). Dr. Weidner also enjoys golfing, running and many other outdoor activities.
